In 1877...

a group of brethren met near Bold Springs, Texas, for the purpose of organizing a Masonic Lodge On December 17th of that year the Grand Lodge of Texas, with Norton Moses as Grand Master, granted a charter to Liberty Grove Lodge No. 475 AF&AM.  The lodge was set to work on Saturday nights on or before the full moon by the District Deputy Grand Master.  Meetings were held in a hall above the Liberty Grove school house, which was located on the Hill-McLennan County line three miles north of West.
